Turtles had a good time at the church today learning about Baptism and what the different parts mean. We learnt about the sign of the cross on the forehead, water pouring over the head and the candle being lit. We even baptised our baby doll Jess.

What a fun hook to start the year 6’s new writing unit ‘Biographies’. Pakefield staff members sent in baby/toddler pictures and the children had to guess who they were. Great discussion and a lot of fun!

This Girl Can- In todays session the girls looked at 'This Girl Can BE HERSELF' The girls made up a fun dance routine and watched it back. It was great to see everyone's personalities shine.

Congratulations to some of our Y3 pupils who competed in the North Suffolk Schools' ALT Cup Football Championships 2026/2027 yesterday evening. We took an A and B team and they all played so well, with amazing team work. Our B team came 1st and George won an extra medal for great sportsmanship. We are so proud of you all!

Yesterday, butterflies went outside to find objects to compare using the suffixes er and est. We found the biggest leaf, the blackest stone, a stick that was longer than another one and many more things!

Foxes in Year 6 have worked incredibly hard on their practice papers this week, showing fantastic determination and resilience throughout. We also enjoyed a visit from a guest speaker who taught us about migration and the push and pull factors that influence people to move to Australia. In Computing, we learnt about the difference between the internet and the World Wide Web and began researching Shakespeare in preparation for our next writing unit. In PE, we continued developing our doubles tennis skills and teamwork, while in Science we carried out an experiment investigating the effects of friction. Well done, Foxes! 🦊

Our girls had a fantastic second session at Rugby Club today! They have been amazing, working hard on their teamwork, ball handling and tag rugby game skills. It has been brilliant to see their confidence and enthusiasm grow. There are still spaces available for girls in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to join us after school. If your child is interested, they can come and speak to Miss Hayward for more information. We'd love to welcome even more girls to the team! 🏉

🐝Bumblebees have been talking about friendships this week and what a good friend looks like. We drew self and peer portraits and made portraits using loose parts, developing fine motor skills. We learnt how to make toast and enjoyed retelling the story of “Little Lumpty”! During outdoor play we used the balance boards and stepping stones and enjoyed water play.

If your child has represented the school this week for a sporting event and has worn our new fixture t-shirts and football socks please can I ask these are returned to school tomorrow (dirty or clean is absolutely acceptable as we can wash them) This allows us to start a fresh for next weeks fixtures. A massive well done to our Y6's who represented the school at a Football Competition this afternoon at Barnards Meadow! They all played brilliantly showing great teamwork throughout. Our boys team came 2nd place in a very tight final losing on penalties, and our girls came 3rd place. We are so proud of you all!

🐨An exciting and busy start to our week in Year 5. In English we’ve been enjoying our new text focus - Macbeth where we’ve performed scenes from the story and play script in small groups. In science we’ve been investigating which surfaces create the most and least friction. During our reading lesson today we held a battle of the scientists and in our PE session we have been developing our team work skills. 🐨

Some fantastic investigations from the Pandas class this afternoon. They were investigating if different surfaces affect the amount of friction there was on a shoe. They were using Newton metres, weights and a shoe! 😊

Today Turtles received a delivery from ‘The Seasons’. We explored the different things they brought us and thought about which season they represented. We talked about the weather and what we might do in each season. We also learnt the makaton signs for the seasons!

The Hedgehogs have had a wonderful day learning about ‘the Stone Age - the iron age’. Great enthusiasm shown by all children.

Year 3/4 had a great time at the Time and Tide Museum meeting characters from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Age. They learnt how to be Stone Age Hunter Gathers, created Bronze Age brooches, looked at a variety of artefacts from the Iron Age and trained to become fearsome warriors.
